I know this is late, but I had a hard time accessing my account, so here is a comment Annie made back in March...
Our church observes Lent as a time to prepare one's heart for the Easter Season. We normally give something up as a family, but this year each person made there own decisions as to what they would give up. Annie was in a quandary as to what she wanted to give up for Lent. So, she said to me one day, "Mom, should I give up candy, movies, or ....WEARING SHOES." She gave up movies. I assured her shoes were not an option!
