Isaac

Isaac is at such a fun stage now.  He is "talking" so much. He has many fun words, but my all time favorite words to hear him say are "Wuv oo mommy" or "Wuv oo Isaac Mommy".  Most of time Isaac talks like Elmo, in third person:)

 Look at that face....

You can't hear, but my heart is melting....

Isaac has been a slow talker, especially compared to his sisters, who were talking in sentences at 15 months.  We even considered speech therapy for him, but all of the sudden about a month ago, he started using all kinds of new words.  He really is quite the parrot, he tries to copy everything we say.  Here are a few of his favorite new words -

orangth - orange, which happens to be his favorite color!
Maewee - Mary
Annie
tv - oh no, yes, he asks to watch videos:)
jeep - we were on our boat and he spotted a jeep, he knows his cars!
byevroom - to leave or go somewhere
canny - candy
weed - read
rain - he loves it when it rains

About 2 months ago, Steve pulled up in his car, which Isaac loves.  Isaac looked at me and said "Cool carvroom!"

Too Big, So Sad

About 6 years ago, Lisa, my darling niece brought my girls dresses from Thailand.  The dresses were adorable and looked adorable on the kids.  Grace was 6 when she first wore this beautiful dress, it has gone through each girl in the Gibson Family.  Now, sigh, <tears>  it is too small for Mary!!  Well, we made it work with leggins.

First Haircut

Isaac's first haircut was a family affair.  We went on a day when the girls where on break and Steve stopped by to witness the big event too.  Isaac was not excited, so he sat on my lap and held on tight!  In the end, he did enjoy the part where he was able to watch the race cars on the video screen and he just looks so cute with his new cut!  He looks like a little boy now not a baby...sigh...

The Before shots...

Being Silly...

And the after shot...doesn't he look cute?  And so big <sigh>.

Isaac's Words

After having 3 girls, sometimes the differences between Isaac and the girls are so striking.   One huge difference is the girls were much more verbal.  Anna was putting words together to form complete thoughts at 15 months.  Isaac on the other hand...at 27 months, he has his own set of words and sound that he makes to let us know what he wants.   Here are a few of the sounds...

eat or food - meeyum or meeyumyum
drink - mmmm, while he does the sign for drink
car - cah
train - doodoo
cut - gung gung
pacifier - baba
boat - baba
Grace - DE
Annie - DunDun or DungDung
Mary - Meemee or Mee
bye- bie
please - peese
What? - mmmuh?mmmuh?

He also likes to act out events.  He will make gestures to tell a story and add the words he knows.  It is so fun to watch him.  I think he will be an animated story teller, just like his father!!

This is the sweet boy eating his meyumyums this morning.

And sweet big sister....
